Comparison Platforms

Explaining insurance cover alongside comparison results

Present enough cover context to make comparison results understandable.

A price-only results page can obscure differences that matter to a customer. The design should state the cover basis used, highlight meaningful limits or exclusions where verified, and show when information is unavailable or not comparable.

Design the workflow

Use consistent labels and plain language, with a route to fuller product information. Avoid implying that two products are equivalent when the underlying fields differ. Keep provider-supplied facts distinguishable from platform explanations, and ensure any summary remains aligned with the current source material.

Test and govern

Review the page with realistic scenarios, including missing terms, a referral and a result that cannot be compared on a common basis. Check reading order, mobile layout and assistive technology. Put the next action and its consequences in clear view. Content and interface owners should agree how corrections and provider updates are reflected.

Define the source of truth, accountable owner and exception path before implementation. Test representative scenarios and retain the evidence needed to review outcomes. This practical guidance does not make a claim about a specific VYPR product capability.
