A document checklist for reinsurance quote and policy workflows
Organise document versions, approvals and evidence across reinsurance workflows.
Documents are part of the reinsurance record, not attachments to be managed separately from the workflow. Start by listing the document types required at each stage and the event that creates or updates each one.
Design the workflow
For every document, record its owner, source, version, date, related submission or policy identifier and status. Distinguish a draft from an approved or executed copy. Define permissions for upload, review and replacement, and retain a history when a file is superseded.
Test and govern
Check search and retrieval using ordinary identifiers and realistic queries. Test duplicate filenames, incorrect uploads, amended terms and access after a team handoff. Agree retention, export and audit requirements with the relevant control owners. A document checklist helps expose missing evidence, but it does not determine whether terms are acceptable or complete.
Define the source of truth, accountable owner and exception path before implementation. Test representative scenarios and retain the evidence needed to review outcomes. This practical guidance does not make a claim about a specific VYPR product capability.
