Reinsurance Quote & Policy Management

From reinsurance submission to firm order: workflow design

Map submission, negotiation and order stages with clear evidence and ownership.

A reinsurance placement workflow needs to preserve how a submission changes as it moves through review and negotiation. Identify the source record, participants, versions of the presentation and the evidence associated with each material update.

Design the workflow

Separate an initial submission, a request for clarification, an indication and a firm order in both terminology and system state. Record who made a change, when it took effect and which version was sent. Define how amended terms are compared and how outstanding conditions are surfaced.

Test and govern

Before implementation, walk through a normal placement and exceptions such as a revised schedule, a withdrawn line or late documentation. Confirm how acknowledgements are captured and how the final record is reconciled with signed documents. The workflow should make state and evidence visible without implying that a digital status alone constitutes agreement.

Define the source of truth, accountable owner and exception path before implementation. Test representative scenarios and retain the evidence needed to review outcomes. This practical guidance does not make a claim about a specific VYPR product capability.
